Hand Appliqué Takes a Long Time

dollyminusmyman I haven’t stopped blogging about my quilts. Hand appliqué takes a long time. I also had to do the nose three or four times. I think I’m finally good on the nose. I have one more row of words, and then a border. I might appliqué vines and flowers into the border. I’m not sure. Got see how I feel about that when I get there.

A few years back my sister-in-law got me started on my first quilt. Ever since then I have been hooked in a big way. Quilting was always an idea that I was attracted to, but hadn't taken the time to dive into. The process takes me to that meditative place that art can bring into your life. I've always been a maker. Making is an important part of life.
