Inside Out/Outside In

Garter snakes are essential for the garden’s ecosystem. Weaving through summer’s dense vegetation will cause the unaware to modestly squeal. Nature has a way of disregarding boundaries. Finding a coiled critter inside an oven mitt transforms a squeal into a primal scream. Running from the house was a natural reflex. Gardens bring unexpected challenges.

These were made in preparation for my show at Elephant Gallery in September, 2026.

A few years back my sister-in-law got me started on my first quilt. Ever since then I have been hooked in a big way. Quilting was always an idea that I was attracted to, but hadn't taken the time to dive into. The process takes me to that meditative place that art can bring into your life. I've always been a maker. Making is an important part of life.
